On June 1 and 2, Francisca Cortés Solari, Executive President of Cortés Solari Philanthropy, joined other Latin American leaders at the Leaders Summit Latin America Plenary Session.

The business event convened leaders and UN stakeholders, such as governments, businesses, and civil society, and our Executive President was present on Wednesday, June 1.

According to the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), about 60% of the world’s terrestrial life, and various freshwater and marine species are found in Latin America and the Caribbean.

The Summit discussed the importance of their conservation and how the different institutions are approaching their work.

Protecting Latin America’s biodiversity is key to achieving global climate goals. Companies have become aware of this and are developing relevant actions and projects in different countries.
